Sugary Swiss Rolls
The very beauty of delicate Swiss Rolls just sends me swirling with delight! They come in many vibrant colors and are often filled with rich creams filled with fresh fruits or jams. I personally prefer the cream variation as the richness of the cream combined with the tanginess of the seasonal fruits complement each other really well! The variety of fruits and flavors of the sponge cake can be adjusted to suit your tastebuds. Imagine how delicious a Chocolate Swiss Roll with a Rasberry Jam filling would be. However I would just settle for a classic delicate vanilla sponge filled with cream and lovely strawberries and dusted with sweet sugar and a cup of fine tea on a beautiful Sunday afternoon...
